Our aim is to provide a soap that makes a hot bath an occasion. A soothing, relaxing pleasure, a reward for your tired body and mind, an experience that rejuvinates and refreshes as it cleanses - the natural way.

Why Handmade Soap?

Soap is the reaction of oils and butters saponified with lye. The traditional cold process method of making soap is all-natural, biodegradable, good for your skin and the environment. It contains nothing extra, and nothing is taken away.

Commercial soaps are actually not soap at all. Most 'beauty bars' on the market are synthetic, often made with petroleum based cleansers. The natural glycerin that is produced from the soapmaking process is removed and used for more profitable products such as moisturizers.

Production and Ingredients

All of our soaps are produced from our home in Pasadena, NL. Soaps are cured for at least 4 weeks to allow the moisture to escape, leaving you with a hard bar of soap that will last. Although soap is safe for use within 24 hours, the curing time also allows for the PH balance to reach an optimum level for washing. Rainwater (or snow) is used in the production of soap to maintain a proper PH as well,

Basic Ingredients: Unless otherwise stated, all soaps are made from vegetable oils, butters, lye and rainwater. Additives such a beeswax, coconut milk, cream, coffee, tea may also be added to enhance and target specific uses. All-natural colorants (cocoa, for example) and cosmetic pigments are added to enhance the beauty of the finished product.

Fragrance:

Essential Oils - Essential oils are pure plant oils. Our essential oils are high quality, pure and undiluted.

Fragrance Oils - Cosmetic grade and have been formulated for use in all types of soaps.

Packaging: A label that provides all the necessary information we believe is all that's required. We are not in the marketing business, and therefore our focus is the product itself. The soap is already beautiful! You can see an example of our label here.
